Greetings to everyone—I hope you have a wonderful Friday.
Today I want to share with you just how exciting our Thursday started at home, because from very early on, the day was filled with little joys that gave us energy for everything that lay ahead.
It had already been eighteen days since we’d placed twenty-five little quail eggs in the homemade incubator that my husband patiently built from a broken microwave. That incubator has become a family project, and every time we check on it, we feel the excitement of being part of the miracle of life. To our delight, the quails began hatching that Thursday, and that immediately got everyone in the house moving. We had a small cage ready with a light bulb to keep them warm; we call that cage “el cunero,” because it’s the space where they spend their first hours of life.

I’ll tell you that eighteen quail hatched from the twenty-five little eggs—a number that surprised us and filled us with joy. It was a challenge to get them settled in the brooder because, believe it or not, they’re very active right from the start. They run back and forth just minutes after hatching, as if they’re in a hurry to discover the world. Seeing them so tiny and full of energy is a beautiful experience.

After making sure everyone was okay, we left home and headed into town to do our work at the Sunsol Unik Hotel. That day, we were supposed to check the laundry filters and perform the routine chlorination and disinfection of the main tank. The morning started with a heavy, humid air that even made it seem like it might rain, but that’s just how it is on the island; suddenly the sun came out and shone in all its glory, as if to remind us that the weather here can change in a matter of minutes.

I had to pick up my son from school and take him to tennis. When we arrived at the court, I took another photo of the indoor tennis bubble, illuminated from within. I expect it to snow soon, which will make this scene even more beautiful.

Hello HIVE, I hope you are all doing well, enjoying the gift of being alive and living life to the fullest—come what may.

Today, I am continuing a three-part series that I began last week—a cathartic reflection on my experience during the double earthquake that struck La Guaira, Venezuela, on June 24th. In the previous post (which I invite you to read to better follow the narrative thread), I recounted the first two days I spent responding to an urgent call for help and solidarity. We were able to provide support to a man—a father, now a widower—who was left devastated by the disaster as he recovered the bodies of his four family members from the rubble of a collapsed building.

In this second chapter, I want to express my disappointment and displeasure regarding those who control the country’s authorities. Beyond any political leaning, I wish to highlight the inhumanity that power breeds within the human heart. The day began poorly; upon arriving in La Guaira, we were involved in an accident. Our group—a fairly large number of people—was traveling from Caracas to La Guaira in three pickup trucks and a 42-seater bus. At one point, due to a lapse in attention on the road, the pickup truck I was in had to brake suddenly to make way for a fire truck. It appears the driver of the bus following us was not paying full attention to the road and collided with our pickup.

Let me tell you about my day—or rather, my afternoon. Today at 6:00 PM (Cuba time), my "Silence Course," or "Part II," began. It is a mandatory 4-day course focused on learning how to remain in silence. I say "mandatory" because it is a prerequisite for the Art of Living classes—a two-year yoga program.
Today, on the first day, there wasn't exactly much silence; instead, we spent a little over two hours on introductions and interacting with the other participants.

Silence Course
Here’s a bit about how it went:

There were 19 of us in total, including the two instructors. The course is being held online via Zoom. The cost was 1,700 CUP (approximately $1.97 USD). At the start, the instructors led the session and provided general instructions. They gave us a brief refresher on "Part I"—the first segment of this mandatory course.
They also discussed the tools we would be using, as well as the dietary guidelines for the coming days.

Required items include a computer or tablet with Zoom, a yoga mat, a warm blanket, cushions, a water bottle, paper, a pen, and comfortable clothing.
As for meals, a fresh, plant-based vegetarian diet is recommended—think fruits, oats, soups, lentils, or kitchari—while avoiding processed foods, garlic, onions, and eggs.

These requirements seem manageable. I usually eat meat, so these four days of vegetarian eating will be a new experience for me.

After a while, the instructors divided us into smaller groups on several occasions. We were tasked with sharing experiences from our lives:

The first time we were split into groups was for introductions. Our class includes Spanish speakers from Argentina, Chile, Cuba, and elsewhere. The introductions lasted only a few minutes before we returned to the main session.

In the second breakout session, we were instructed to spend four minutes each voicing complaints. It was an interesting exercise; we realized that because the complaints were being expressed consciously, they didn't sound the same as they do when we complain in our everyday lives.

The third session required us to list 10 positive traits for each person—something that didn't come quite as easily.

In the fourth session, we had to list 10 negative traits—which, by contrast, came very easily.

These were excellent, dynamic exercises that helped us understand how our minds function when they haven't been trained to think in a positive way.

As you can see in the photos, there is a lot of darkness—the result of power outages. Due to a variety of factors, our island of Cuba is currently facing a very difficult situation regarding electricity. Yet, despite these prolonged blackouts, the course continues, allowing us to keep learning and work toward completion.

I’m taking this opportunity to create a bit of art amidst the gloomy late afternoon and evening.

I like the tones in this photo—the shadows, the light.
But... the show must go on...

After a while, once it got completely dark, there were so many mosquitoes, so I headed into my room. I have a blue LED light in here, so everything has a bluish tint—hehe...

Time flew by, filled with new insights and conversations.

To wrap things up, there were a couple of guided meditations led by the instructors and Gurudev.

These meditations are truly enjoyable, thanks to the deep, wonderful relaxation brought on by the breathing exercises.

And then, it was time to say goodbye...

I’m certain that tomorrow I’ll learn a great deal about Silence—which goes far beyond the simple act of not speaking.

See you tomorrow for part two of this Silence Course.

Until soon...

CURSO DE SILENCIO Por El Arte de Vivir.

Te voy a contar mi día.

I always like such kind of scenarios. Those are really amazing to look at. Cloud and its pattern are always fascinating. I really like this scenario very much. I always like such kind of moments. Specially cloudy view and this time always my favourite. This scenario looks amazing. I really like to see this view. This is my favourite. Specially when the cloud are floating in the sky then this scenario looks interesting and fascinating. Which is easily fascinates anyone. And such scenes are my favorite.

The sky looks wonderful this time. With white clouds set against the blue, the sky appeared magnificent. While traveling by bus this afternoon, I caught glimpses of this scenery through the window, and it filled me with a sense of delight. Honestly, I found the combination of white clouds and the blue sky truly beautiful. It was a remarkable moment; the sight of white clouds drifting across the sky was simply wonderful.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to walk through the historic center of the city where I have lived for over thirty years: Valencia, in the state of Carabobo, Venezuela. There is a relatively new plaza there that I hadn’t yet had the pleasure of visiting due to a lack of time. I like it because it is a wholesome space dedicated to art, healthy leisure, and recreation. It is located just behind the *Casa de la Estrella*—a building that once served as the seat of government during the era of the First Republic and as a hospital during colonial times. Further back, there is an imposing equestrian statue of the great national hero, General Francisco de Miranda, a precursor to our country’s freedom and independence. I also appreciate the trees that have been planted there, which provide a very welcome shade. But perhaps one of the best features of this plaza is its stage—complete with tiered seating—where people can enjoy musical and cultural activities, typically on weekends, all of which are entirely free of charge.

![WhatsApp Image 2026-10-27 at 1.02.06 PM (2).jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/victor2356/23wgN3sKRNpzaB1ujsgs5kNE8NZnCKC3HsS3Xokjr95xjJVHVg8mZmtKWjymrab1vRcny.jpeg)

![WhatsApp Image 2026-10-27 at 1.02.05 PM (2).jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/victor2356/23vsHsPC9cNQ8SzqDknwrHdLe3qLz3fijXi1gnYEhjtxtpHxDbTDVZ8Jq6x1atrxYAuWD.jpeg)

Another lovely feature of this place is the interactive statue shown in the photos I’ve included below this paragraph. It is considered "interactive" because visitors can take photos with it—there is another similar statue, depicting Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, located in front of the San Francisco de Asís church, facing Plaza Sucre, also within the historic district. The man represented by this statue is a highly significant figure for this illustrious city: the writer and poet José Rafael Pocaterra. Incidentally, right behind the statue (though not visible in the photos) lies the house where this distinguished man was born—a property that has been recently restored so that intellectuals and those who cherish culture, history, and poetry can visit it.

A New Crew Member.
Autumn Audio 6: Week of October 25th, 2026.

Welcome New Subscribers.

Universe has recently informed the Captain of the Starship Noxsoma, that We have a new crewmember aboard. It’s the energetic frequency of a disaster survivor. Quite possibly, and within our Simulatrix, the Great Flood. This explains our obsession with seemingly esoteric symbolism. The egg. The circle. Sun deities and numbers. For example, we, (as in regular folk), might wonder, “How would a relatively small group of survivors of a catastrophic disaster thrive and rebuild?” We are not talking about literate scholars here. We take all, if not most of our technologies for granted. Like any random Barney Rubble could pick up a slab of rock and carve symbols into it. And, that the next cave dude would understand what was being expressed.

Now, try to extrapolate this out across generations. In the parts of the world that were affected by the “Legendary Flood,” let’s imagine, (because there’s no way of knowing), that 90% of the population was wiped out. There would be bands of survivors. Families would be decimated. This is how we can tell that Noah’s story is allegory, not to mention it’s not even the original myth. Just a note on history and myth. What we’ve noticed as “gods” played larger roles in these disaster myths, certain individuals and their families were chosen for survival. They were pure. They were righteous. They were exceptional. Give you an idea of where this, “Jesus-loves-me-best” stuff comes from.

Out of these small bands, or tribes of survivors, maybe 1 or 2% had any kind of “higher knowledge.”
Define, “higher.”
Higher than making weapons. Like knowing that the sun would reappear in the sky after a period of darkness. Maybe they knew what plants would not kill them and which beasts would. Maybe a few knew about numbers, and some were keen observers of the sky. They would certainly notice the moon phases more quickly than they noticed the movement of the sun.

Some sages would survive, and they would be regarded as worthy to lead. They would be worshiped. Or perhaps, “work shipped.” They would be wise enough to teach what they know to particular students, while keeping the rest, perhaps the strongest, ignorant.

Post-cataclysm survival mode is something your boy can only imagine. Many bands would simply die out. Others might be melded into larger tribes. Or slaughtered by stronger tribes. Communication would have to be worked out, and they’d probably have to be convinced not to eat each other.

The most ancient myths and allegories have to do with survival. The phases of the Moon. The movement of the Sun. The changing of the seasons. The gestation period of humans. This is why the number 40 has been preserved in so many stories.

Our flood survivor tells us that the circle was paramount in the teachings. Not necessarily because the Earth was known to be round, like a rock, but because what was observed was determined to occur over and over again, in predictable patterns. The relationship between the Earth, the Moon and the Sun are the bases of time. Not simply day and night, but seasons. Migrations. Weather and temperature changes, and so on.

We’ve already crafted a number of articles around this theme, so our “New Crewmember” has been aboard for some time now. We noticed the interest, but Universe has filled Us in just this weekend.

Other ideas our Flood Survivor has posited, is that the earliest accounts of his story, and what has been passed down through scripture, were not written by common humans, for common humans. To filter this idea through alien-intervention theory, scripture may have first been written by elite alien-human hybrids. More alien than human, as opposed to human-alien hybrids, which were more human than alien. Weaker, poorer and dumber critters are always anathema to the greedy, unscrupulous and powerful. The former breed to fast, require more resources and are uncontrollable. There’s a weird kind of balance on that scale that the latter have been confounded by since the waters receded.

We have no way of knowing whether our Flood Survivor witness is legit or not. We can choose to believe the story, while not believing in it. If you know the difference, there’s no need to explain. If you don’t know the difference, there’s no use in explaining.

Full Metal Ox.

The week is off to a great start, with plenty of work and weather that seems to be on our side every day. Before I go on, I want to wish you all a productive and happy day—just as everyone deserves. It’s always good to start the morning with positive thoughts and the energy to believe that everything will turn out well.
As this new day begins, we have several tasks ahead of us at a home where we’ve been hired to do some plumbing and masonry work. We usually focus on drinking water, chlorination, and system maintenance, but this request came from a friend of my father’s, and out of respect and affection, we couldn’t turn it down. In future posts, I’ll tell you in more detail how it went, because there’s always something interesting to share about each day’s work.
Today I’ll show you the route we took, which, as usual, began very early—almost as soon as the birds started singing.
We had to travel to the municipality of Gómez, which is quite a distance away, to perform the chlorination and activate the filters at the desalination plant at the Sunsol Ecoland Hotel. As I’ve told you before, the weather was wonderful—hot, radiant, with that strong sun that characterizes the island. Although it can be exhausting at times, it also gives me the opportunity to capture beautiful views along the way, especially when we drive up the Portachuelo road. Every bend in the road looks like a painting created by nature.

As we approached the hotel, we passed by the lagoon, which always offers us its most beautiful view. I never tire of looking at it; it's like a small natural sanctuary that changes with the light of day.

A short walk around our own village can be enough to find little things worth remembering.

A few days ago, I went outside to explore my surroundings after the rain. I didn't have any special plans. I just wanted to walk around, enjoy the fresh atmosphere, and see what I could find.

That day, I had a little companion with me: my cat, Kinoy.

Kinoy Had Her Own Little Adventure

As I walked ahead, Kinoy followed behind me. Or at least, that was what I thought!

At one point, I turned around to check on her. To my surprise, she was busy running around and jumping over the little patches of grass along the way. 😂

While I was enjoying the scenery, Kinoy seemed to have her own adventure. She was exploring the surroundings in her own playful way.

I called her name, and she immediately came running toward me.

That little moment made me smile. I had been walking ahead, thinking she was simply following me, but apparently, she had plenty of things to explore along the way.

Discovering the Waterways

As I continued exploring, I noticed a small water channel flowing between the surrounding walls and vegetation.

It was a simple sight, but I found myself stopping to look at it. Sometimes, we pass familiar places without paying much attention to them. But when we take the time to walk around and observe, we may notice things we would normally overlook.

I also came across a place where water was collected. Seeing the water flowing through the area made me appreciate these everyday parts of village life.

I didn't go anywhere far that day. I was simply walking around my own village, looking at things that might seem ordinary to other people.

Yet, those little discoveries made the walk feel worthwhile.

A Familiar Place with a Fresh Feeling

The green plants, the houses, and the fresh surroundings gave the village a different feeling after the rain.

There was nothing extraordinary about the scenery, but I enjoyed seeing it from a different perspective. Sometimes, we don't need to visit a famous tourist destination to appreciate our surroundings.

We just need to slow down enough to notice what's already there.

And, of course, having Kinoy as my walking companion made the experience more enjoyable. Even though she occasionally got distracted by her own little adventures, she always came back when I called her.

The Little Things in Everyday Life

Of course, rainy days also come with a few inconveniences. Drying clothes becomes more difficult, and getting some morning sunshine isn't always possible. 😂

Still, I enjoyed that little walk. It gave me a chance to get outside, observe my surroundings, and spend time with Kinoy.

Perhaps that's what makes ordinary moments special. They don't always bring us something extraordinary. Sometimes, they simply give us a reason to smile.

For me, this was just a short walk around the village with my cat. But it became a small memory worth sharing.

What about you? Do you ever take little walks around your neighborhood and discover things you usually overlook? And if you have a pet, does it ever turn a simple walk into a little adventure of its own?

I'd love to hear your stories!

---
Of course everyone is free to share whatever they want on their personal blog, but here is a little guide with tips on how to make an interesting post on Daily Blog Community. Remember that the effort in our beloved platform is rewarded and we all like to read a nice post 😃.

Topic of the post / Tema de la publicación

This is the most important point and the one you should pay more attention to. Make sure that the content of the post has something of relevance, be it nice pictures, interesting event or good story to tell. Posts that only relate the actions we all do every day (getting up, brushing teeth, having lunch, working, sleeping, etc), without adding anything extra worth reading, don't provide any kind of value. Refrain from making your publication just about that.

Text of the publication / Texto de la publicación

This is a blog and writing is an important part of it. Don't make posts with little text, I suggest at least 400 words in your original language. If your day was interesting, you will have plenty to say about it 😘.

---
---

Photos of the post / Fotos de la publicación

A good post is always accompanied by nice photos. Not all of us have the best cameras, but taking a nice picture that shows something interesting is possible. Avoid using blurry or out of focus photos, it is also suggested to show something more than just "selfies". I suggest including at least 5 photos in your post.
