Discovering A New Grocery Store Nearby: My Ordinary Day Turned Into Practical Purchases of My Daily Needs

Hello everyone ☺️ How are you today? I hope you're doing great and well. I just wanted to look back on the day's when I discovered a new grocery store nearby. I'm amazed how many items I bought with my 15$. Dali, a newly opened grocery store that sells quality and affordable food and household items. It was quiete an exciting looking back what happened the previous days during my quest on buying essentials. This store was opened a month ago, I knew I'm not late for sure to discover this new grocery store 😁 I loved how I shared what happened last Thursday, when I get in the store, I'm a bit amazed how organized and how unique the store was. With my enough money left in my pocket I just made sure I bought all the basic essentials my family need. I got 5 kilos of rice well milled Denorado, oh and I'm surprised it's not that's so pricey compared to the rice I bought from the other supermarket. Then I slowly pulled my cart going in to the canned goods section. I also included in my list, goods such as tuna, sardines and noodles. I also picked white and brown sugar, a butter and an egg. Now I already completed all the essentials needed for my baking sessions.

Then I also made sure I visited dairy products sections and their small palengke which sold fruits and vegetables.

I'm happy I got to buy everything I wanted for this day. I calculated every items I picked 😂just to make I can pay all of these.. Then my small basket was already loaded with. In my 30 minutes of wandering inside DALI grocery store. Then I fall in line, and observed the other customers why they're getting their own ecobags after paying it.

Survival Mode: Finally Reaching Bronze II

There were four kinds of ranked games in Splinterlands, they were Frontier, Modern, Wild, and Survival. Only the two ranked games that I focus on building up my ranked which were the frontier and the modern ranked.

While the wild and survival were not as focus as the other two ranked games because the cards that I bought were only from the two ranked games which were the frontier and the modern ranked game.

Although, I bought some cards that will be used in the wild and survival but only bought cheaper cards and not as expensive as the other two ranked games but these cards from the two ranked games were also usable in the wild and survival game.

In the past days, I was playing the Survival and the wild game while the mechanics of the survival game is that if the unit is defeated, there will be a cooldown before it can be played again.

Well, on my first battles with this game, I was devastated because the opponent that I played with has lots of unique units and they were as powerful as you can be.

I searched through the market and bought some units that were very cheap and can be useful in the survival game, well, I found some cards that were up for sale and at a discounted price and bought some of it.

After playing a couple of games of survival in the past couple of days, I stop playing because most of my usable units were now in cooldown and just last night, all of my cards were okay and I can play it again.

Well, I reach another milestone for this survival game and it was from Bronze III to Bronze II, well, my ranked is around 500 ranking points and that was Bronze II tier and it's only more than hours left before the season ends.

I was climbing my ranks in the game of survival and whenever get to lose a unit, it will have something like a cooldown for this one and sometimes it might get a 90hours cooldown for me to use it again in the survival game.

I was having a 12 streak of winning the game of survival last night and it was an awesome feeling to get this 12 streak and after that streak, I lose the game there were opponents that were powerful.

I am planning in the future to buy more units so that I can play in the survival mode with lots of cards and hands to play with but not this time because I have a tight budget right now.

Well, I plan on using magic as one of my units that I want to buy in the market because it can penetrate the armor while the armor of the units were more than their health.

A Little Morning Walk Filled with Flowers and Beautiful Views 🌷☀️

Hello Hivers 🖐 I just wanna share some flowers(plant) today as we doour morning walk. Walking and waking up early isn't really my thing but that was before when I'm still dalaga. I'm a Mommy now so I need to wake up early for my baby boy. He really likes exploring outside he doesn't want to stay at home we're the opposite. Anyway,I'm so confused with my baby he likes picking up stones he even likes the smallest one and not afraid with insects on the ground but I think he's cool at least he's not like me.

We start our morning walking routine to strengthen up his legs,he's just one year old so we need toughen it up for him to able to master his walking. Although he can walk by himself but sometimes he still ask for help if he thinks he can't walk through. Sometimes when he run he don't look back that's why he'll a scratcts on his knee. But it's normal he's just a kid, eventually he'll be very good someday.

He suddenly stop walking seeing these stones. This is his favorite, keeping them like a treasure. I'm glad he's not someone who eats or swallow everything. He only hold it or tossed it but later on he's gonna pick it back. Maybe, he's just curious about how small and many they are.

While me continue walking I happened to see this first it's called Piti-piti in my province because 'piti' means it popped. The fruits or seed pods of the piti-piti plant can pop when they get wet, especially when the pods are mature. I can still remember back in our time we used to gather every seed pods of this plant and one of us we'll get a basin and we're going to popped out seed pods one by one. It was amazing experienced too bad kids don't play these days like we are. Anyway, it's flowers are undeniably beautiful it has different color but I only happened to see the purple one. Better than nothing.

This one is Gumamela. My favorite color pink, although there are other colors like red, white and yellow hut for me pink is the one. We used to tucked it up our ears and poses sometimes acts like a princess. We also used this a recipe into our cooking time with the bahay-bahayan we made. Great old times.

This is the last one, I actually like this one simple but the colors are well blended and beautiful I don't know this plant since this is my first time seeing one but I've learned that some people are planting it for good luck and protection.

And finally, we're home. Done with our walking and I need some rest, chasing a toddler is no easy job. Anyway, my baby is already inside at our house this time I wanted to feel the moment so I just sit down outside and feel the morning breeze. It felt amazing, having fresh air and peaceful morning. This is the perks you get living a province life.

Harvesting Galyang and Making Alupi: Cooking Our Favorite Delicacies While Enjoying the Views of Toro Toro Mountain

Hello, everyone!

Living in the mountain has many benefits. We have crops to harvest, food to cook, and beautiful views to enjoy. One of the places we can see from our area is Toro Toro Mountain. Our surroundings are green, and we can enjoy the view while doing our daily activities on the farm.

I harvested Palawan, which we also call galyang. While harvesting, I remembered my elementary days when I sell Palawan for only 10 pesos per kilo. Now, it costs around 40 pesos per kilo. The price has really changed! Big difference, so let's keep resourceful plant more.

My siblings continue planting Palawan because we can use it in different ways. We can cook it for our snacks, prepare it as a meals, or sell some of our harvest. My mother also makes alupi using Palawan. I like eating it with a cup of coffee, especially when we have time to sit and relax.

Since many workers are planting crops on our farm, my sister-in-law made inday-inday. It is made from grated cassava and has strips of bukayo, or sweetened coconut. It was delicious, and everyone could enjoy this local delicacy after working.

My mother loves making kakanin. I originally planned to prepare these foods for All Saints' Day, but because we already have many workers on the farm, we decided to buy the ingredients earlier. It is nice to have something to share with the people working with us.

Another thing I enjoy about living here is having banana plants around. Whenever we want bananas, we can harvest them from our farm without buying them at the market. I also planted Saba bananas for Papa so he can have some whenever he wants.

This is our daily life in the mountain. We plant, harvest, prepare food, and share what we have. We also find ways to use our harvest instead of letting it go to waste.

Farming requires hard work, but it also gives us food for our family and extra produce that we can sell. I am happy that we can enjoy our own harvest and homemade delicacies while living here.

This is simple mountain life, and this is how we enjoy our days together.

Hindi ko na alam kung ano ang dapat kong maramdaman sa mga ganitong pangyayari. Minsan, mapapaisip ka na lang kung bakit sa tuwing may nagiging problema, parang kasalanan mo na naman. Kahit sa simpleng bagay, parang kailangan mo pang ipaliwanag ang sarili mo para lang maintindihan ng mga tao sa paligid mo.

Mayroon akong kapatid na deaf at non-speaking, at isang nanay na, sa pananaw ko, minsan ay mas nauunang bumuo ng sariling interpretasyon kaysa makinig at unawain kung ano talaga ang nangyari.

Recently, nag-chat sa akin ang asawa ko at hiniling na sabihan ko muna ang kapatid ko na huwag munang pahiram ng tablet sa anak ko dahil napapansin naming nagbabago ang ugali niya kapag masyadong gumagamit nito. Bilang magulang, gusto lang naman naming ma-manage ang screen time ng anak namin.

Kaya agad akong nag-message sa kapatid ko. Ang sabi ko lang, “Bawal na tablet si ______.”

Sumagot siya, “Nakaw ni ______ tablet sa akin.” Ang sagot ko naman, “Oo nga, tago na talaga.”

Para sa akin, ordinaryong usapan lang iyon. Wala akong intensyong makipag-away o magalit. Hindi rin naman ako galit sa kapatid ko. Ang gusto ko lang ay maipatupad ang simpleng request na huwag munang pahiram ng tablet sa anak ko.

Pero maya-maya, nagkaroon na ng eksena sa bahay. Nagwala ang kapatid ko, at hindi ko talaga alam kung ano ang eksaktong dahilan o kung paano niya naintindihan ang usapan namin. Posibleng iba ang naging interpretasyon niya sa mga sinabi ko. Dahil hindi ko naman alam kung ano ang tumatakbo sa isip niya, hindi ko rin gustong mag-assume.

Ang nakakainis lang, ang simpleng request na puwede namang pag-usapan nang maayos ay nauwi na naman sa isang malaking problema.

Tinanong ako ng nanay ko kung ano ang nangyari, kaya pinabasa ko sa kanya ang chat namin para makita niya mismo kung ano ang pinag-usapan. Akala ko, sapat na iyon para maintindihan niya ang sitwasyon.

Pero makalipas ang ilang minuto, kinausap niya ulit ako. Ang sabi niya, dapat ko raw mas intindihin ang kapatid ko at ipaliwanag nang mabuti sa kanya ang sitwasyon.

At doon na ako medyo nainis.

Hindi dahil ayaw kong umintindi. Hindi dahil wala akong konsiderasyon sa kapatid ko. Ang sa akin lang, bakit parang sa akin agad napupunta ang responsibilidad na ayusin ang lahat, kahit wala naman akong intensyong gumawa ng problema?

Ang request ko ay simple lang: huwag munang pahiram ng tablet ang anak ko.

Hindi ako nakipag-away. Hindi ako nagmura sa kapatid ko. Hindi ako naglabas ng galit sa chat. Pero dahil sa naging reaksiyon niya, parang ako pa ang kailangang magpaliwanag at umako ng responsibilidad sa nangyari.

Minsan, nakakapagod din kapag pakiramdam mo, kailangan mong patunayan na hindi ka masamang tao sa tuwing may hindi magandang nangyayari. Parang hindi sapat na ipaliwanag mo ang intensyon mo. Kailangan mo pang ipagtanggol ang sarili mo laban sa interpretasyon ng ibang tao.

At mas mahirap kapag pamilya mo mismo ang kailangan mong kumbinsihin.

Hindi naman lahat ng hindi pagkakaunawaan ay nangangahulugang may taong may masamang intensyon. Minsan, may simpleng request lang. Minsan, may taong iba ang pagkakaintindi. At minsan, ang isang sitwasyon ay lumalaki dahil sa mga interpretasyong nadadagdag habang ipinapasa ito sa ibang tao.

May mga pagkakataong ang isang bagay na maganda para sa akin ay pangit naman sa paningin niya. At doon ko naiisip na totoo nga siguro na art is in the eye of the beholder. Magkakaiba tayo ng pananaw, panlasa, at paraan ng pag-unawa sa mga bagay.

Pero sana, ganoon din tayo sa paghusga sa kapwa. Hindi porke't iba ang interpretasyon natin ay iyon na agad ang tama.

Sa totoo lang, nakakapagod mabuhay sa ganitong klaseng family dynamic. Nakakasawa rin na paulit-ulit mong nararamdaman na kailangan mong magpaliwanag, mag-adjust, at magtimpi para lang maiwasan ang mas malaking problema.

Hello, my dearest and ever-supportive Hive Friends all over the world! 🥰❤️ Before I begin my major works today, let me share a little heartwarming experience from yesterday afternoon that reminded me how beautiful life becomes when we treat one another with kindness.

Yesterday, during my coffee break, I decided to buy two pieces of fried chicken from my neighbor, who had just started selling along the roadside near her house. I wanted to support her small business, especially since it was her first day of selling. However, when she handed me my order, I was surprised to find three pieces of fried chicken and small plastics of spiced vinegar inside the bag! At first, I thought she had simply added an extra piece for free, so I insisted on paying for my order. But to my surprise, she returned my money and told me it was because I was kind. Huhuhu! 🥹❤️ I honestly didn't know what to say. I only wanted to buy my dinner and support her business, but I received an unexpected gift instead.

I'm just a simple woman living a simple life, and I don't know exactly what I did to deserve such thoughtful treatment from my neighbors. I never expect anything in return when I show kindness to others, but I'm truly grateful that the people around me are also kind to me. They deserve my love, support, and kindness, too. For me, having good neighbors is one of life's little blessings because even the simplest gestures can make an ordinary day feel extra special. I also hope my neighbor's new fried chicken business will continue to grow and attract more customers. ❤️🍗

For my dinner, I also prepared a cup of Lucky Me! Chicken Sotanghon, which was already part of my pantry. I simply added hot water and let it become my warm and comforting soup to enjoy with the fried chicken. It was a simple meal, but it was enough to make me happy after a busy day. Since I hadn't eaten all the fried chicken, I saved the other two pieces to serve as my viand for breakfast today. Hahaha! At least I had something ready to enjoy this morning without needing to prepare another dish. Sometimes, a simple meal made from what we already have at home is more than enough to satisfy us. 😋

This little experience reminded me that kindness doesn't have to be grand or expensive to be meaningful. A small act of generosity, a warm smile, or a thoughtful gesture can touch someone's heart in ways we may never realize. As I prepare for my major works today, I feel grateful for these simple blessings and for the people who make my everyday life more beautiful. Another regular day!!

My mornings aren't busy, so I spend them doing chores in the house or in the garden. But today, I remembered we ran out of meat in the fridge, so I asked my husband to go to the supermarket with me.

I grabbed a few other frozen foods like sausages, ham, and more.

Since we're already here, I grabbed a few more items like my daughter's yogurt and other snacks. My husband then grabbed a body spray.

After filling our cart, we went straight to the cashier to pay. I felt hungry, so I asked my husband to drop by a nearby restaurant. We ordered batchoy (Filipino noodle soup with meat, eggs, pork innards, and chicharon).

and the best pair to it.. Mt. dew 😋

We went home full. 😁

Not a lazy day nor a busy one. Just a simple and quick trip to the supermarket that ended up with slurping some noodles and going home with a full tummy. Just a normal day. 😁

Sayote Everywhere! Our Harvest Is Ready, and My Customers Are Waiting!

Good day, Hivers!

Guess what? We have plenty of sayote to harvest today! 😄 If you see me walking here and there, washing vegetables, sorting them, and preparing for delivery, you will know that it is another busy day for this farmer and vegetable vendor.

We are a family of farmers. Maybe that is why I feel happy when I am surrounded by plants and fresh vegetables. I chose this kind of life because farming and selling vegetables give me peace. Of course, there are tiring days, but there is also happiness that money cannot easily explain.

Planting and harvesting have different kinds of happiness. When we plant, we need patience and effort. We wait for the plants to grow and hope they will give us a good harvest. But when harvest time comes, wow! Seeing many vegetables ready to be picked makes me feel excited. It is like receiving a little reward for all the hard work.

One of our practical vegetables to grow is sayote. We can use the fruit itself for planting, so we do not need to buy seeds every time. Once it grows well, it can give us plenty of fruits. We do not spend much on maintenance, but we still need to clean the surroundings and give the plants proper care.

Here comes my favorite part: preparing the harvest for the market!

We wash every sayote and sort them according to quality. The good ones are ready for our customers, while the rejected ones are separated. But wait, rejected does not always mean useless! Our pigs and goats are happy to eat them. Sometimes, I think our animals are also waiting for harvest day. They have their own share of the blessings!

My regular customers are already waiting for their vegetables. Some are even in a hurry for delivery, so I need to move faster. Being a vegetable vendor means I cannot just sit and admire our harvest. I need to wash, sort, pack, and deliver.

This is our simple farming life. There is no perfect day, and there is always work to do. But when our vegetables are ready, our customers are happy, and even our animals have food, I feel thankful.

Who says farming is boring? Here, even our rejected sayote has a purpose!

Today, Monday I woke up early to prepare breakfast and a packed meal for my child. While we were sitting on the balcony, waiting for my child's ride,.. I noticed that so many little flowers had bloomed among the grass in the vacant lot across from our house...
There were yellow and violet flowers scattered throughout the grassy area. I became interested in photographing them, so I took the opportunity to capture their beauty...
And these are the photos I managed to take four different kinds of wildflowers growing among the grass...

The first photo shows the flower of the makahiya plant (touch me not).., a type of weed known for its unique characteristic... When its leaves are touched or brushed against, they quickly fold inward as if the plant were shy. This unusual behavior is where it gets its name makahiya or nahihiya.. which comes from the Filipino word for being shy...

The second flower is locally known as baho-baho in our dialect,, while in English, it is called the American sicklepod... This plant is sometimes mistaken for a peanut plant because its leaves and flowers look quite similar... However the peanut plant has slightly smaller leaves...
The leaves of the American sicklepod have a somewhat unpleasant smell, while its flowers are odorless...

I don't know the name of this third wildflower. Even in our local dialect, we simply call it a weed.. This plant produces an abundance of flowers,.. making it a beautiful sight to see in the morning when all its little yellow flowers are fully open...

AL The Mountain Defeated: My First PIT Challenge Victory

Splinterlands had lots of things that you can do like playing ranked games in different category especially the Frontier, Modern, wild or even the Survival game. While they also have a login streak that this game offered.

What is this login streak, well, it's basically logging in your account and the more you login every single day, you can actually earn some Sparks token and can be use to exchange several items that only sparks token can be purchase.

There were other several prizes that one could get because the prizes were in a form in a rolling wheel and there were several and awaiting prizes that they give and if you got lucky enough, you get more sparks more than it should.

Just yesterday, I got a prize which was the PIT Challenge. Well, this is my first time getting this prize which is the PIT Challenge and as I was very curious about this challenge, I have no idea what it was until I click the button go now to challenge someone in the game.

When clicking the go now, there were three different options that I can click one is the easy, the medium, and the hard. Well, the hard seems promising because you can get a thousand sparks if you won it.

That's what it shows, I was going to click the medium because it has a 500 Sparks when you won the game but I hesitated a little bit because I thought that I am going to use my own set of cards to compete with the pit masters.

I chose the easiest pit master which was the easy option and the reward for defeating this easy pit master was 250 Sparks. I chose the easy one because I don't know what kind of cards I am playing and if these cards were at max level or not because I only have a few cards that were in max level.

So, in the easy category, it was "AL The Mountain" that I needed to defeat where it has 2 armor, 42 health, and the speed is 4. When I was in the option where I get to chose units, I was surprise to see that all of the units were at max level.

This Pit Challenge is different and this was my first time encountering and getting a pit challenge since I played this in the past couple of days and got surprise to get this reward yesterday.

I thought that I would lose playing with this PIT master challenge but it turns out that the easy difficulty is one of the easiest pit master that I encounter and maybe the other difficulty is much more hard to defeat.

After choosing the units that I have, I won that pit challenge and get 250 sparks as a reward in this challenge. It's really awesome that I won and gain much more experience in this Pit challenge.
